Tightrope Walk Over Chicago!

November 4th, 2014

We are always happy to report on Nik Wallenda’s daredevil feats … after they’re over.

Over the weekend, he walked between two skyscrapers in Chicago, 600 feet up, on a tightrope, with no safety tether (nothing to catch him should he fall).

Thankfully, he didn’t.

And if that wasn’t enough, he went straight to a second walk between two skyscrapers — this time blindfolded! This was a shorter walk than the first by a few minutes, but still!

HTE reported on his last feat, which was walking across an area near the Grand Canyon. You can read that story here .

Mr. Wallenda said during the walk, “You guys watching think I’m crazy but this is what I was made for.”

Mr. Wallenda comes from a family with many generations of highwire performers, not all with happy endings.

Congratulations to Nik Wallenda on his success!
