We hear a lot about bullying in the news these days, both triumphs over it … and the tragedies that can result from it.

Over 3 million kids are victims of bullying each year.

What kind of puts into perspective how hard bullying can be to deal with … is the latest person making national news claiming to be a victim of it — a 6 foot 5 inch, 300+ pound professional football player.

Not what most of us would ever expect.

Jonathan Martin of the Miami Dolphins is claiming he was bullied by teammate Richie Incognito, and possibly others — apparently with voicemails and text messages to prove it. Jonathan Martin has since left the team. Richie Incognito is suspended from the team while the situation is being investigated.

While that story is still unfolding, this post is actually about a different group of football players. Ones who made a very different choice. You can see their story below:
