16-Year Old Graduates High School & College … In Same Week!

May 8th, 2014

It’s that time of year … graduation. The end of school year is nearly in sight, and it’s an especially big deal if you’re finishing high school or college.

One amazing 16-year old Florida girl, Grace Bush, is graduating BOTH high school AND college … in the same week!

She actually got her college diploma BEFORE her high school diploma, which she’ll be getting tomorrow (Friday).

How’d she do that?

“Hard work and dedication” she told a local TV news station. That, and doing high school and college at the same time. She started taking college courses when she was just 13. And continued through the summers. She would often get up at 5:30 am and not finish until after 11 pm.

Doing both at once is a huge accomplishment … but it also helped her family save money. She’s one of 9 children, all home-schooled until about age 13.

Grace Bush earned her college degree in Criminal Justice, with a near perfect grade point average (3.8) and she hopes to become a Supreme Court Justice one day.

(Did we mention she also plays the flute in two orchestras in her spare time?)
