The Golden State Warriors are headed to the NBA Championships after an epic comeback in the best of 7 series against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Warriors were down three games to one … and it was a situation very few teams have ever come back from. They had to win three games in a row under tremendous pressure.

But the Golden State Warriors are proving to be no ordinary team.

The league’s unanimous MVP, Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry, was clutch. He was hitting three-pointers from everywhere, including repeatedly over the outstretched arms of 7-foot tall Oklahoma City Thunder defender, Steven Adams. Not bad for a guy who’s only 6’3″.

Or as The New York Times put it: “Is it easy shooting over an aggressive, skyscraping wingspan, pump-faking, sidestepping, creating just enough space to release with dead-on accuracy from that far away? Try it sometime. See how it goes.”

It went well enough for Steph Curry that he now holds the record for most 3-pointers in an NBA playoff series — with 32 three-pointers. The second most is 30, by his teammate Klay Thompson.

The Warriors face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the finals. The Cavaliers star player is LeBron James.

It’s the same two teams in the finals as last year. The Warriors won that championship match-up last year.

Game one of this highly anticipated best of seven series starts this Thursday night.
